Why is her saying F the patriarchy disgusting? Like, honestly. First of all, the song wasn't even ABOUT that, second of all, do you understand what is meant by patriarchy? I know I'm personally against any system that gives more power to a certain group of people, whether that be based on gender, race, religion, or anything else.

I don’t think it’s right to say her music isn’t good… sure you don’t like it and that’s fine,a jd sure maybe you prefer other music but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Her lyricism is absolutely incredible (specifically on folklore and evermore which I’m sure you haven’t listened to) but like just because I don’t listen to, say, Billie eilish doesn’t mean her music isn’t good… like I’ll admit that she’s super talented and amazing but just doesn’t fit my personal music taste :)

@ophelia honestly i would say that her songs are very easy and simple form technical point of view. her lyricism isn’t that incredible, she kinda rhymes the same words in every song and most her songs have the same build. the only thing she does exceptionally well is that she can make very catchy songs that are perfect for pop industry. so honestly can’t call her bad, bc what she does works, but also calling her a genius is not right either🤷‍♀️

You definitely haven’t listened to folklore evermore and ttpd 😭😭😭 yeah, her popular songs are or catchy and less deep, but it’s not all upbeat pop and she has some incredible, deep, meaningful songs that aren’t pop

also they don’t all sound the same… saying that my tears ricochet and cruel summer are similar would be quite… just idk…

@ophelia i just listened to entire folklore and evermore. almost all songs sound similar. even when you have slow and fast ones. i think it’s because she often uses the same chords progression and tactics like breathy parts for example. sometimes there were some good lyrics. it’d say the same thing again ngl.
