I liked the archaeology parts but continue to dislike when authors mix fact with fiction - their imaginings and flights of fancy about the past. I just prefer straight non-fiction. That said, the author is a good and compelling writer, and I also attended a Smithsonian talk he gave that I very much enjoyed.
