while I am enjoying this book overall I can't seem to pinpoint what's not working- I think its a combination of limited word building and a lack of character depth tbh

Kate's character is giving me such Lila vibes and I hated her characterisation.. I guess v e schwab can only write one type of fmc in these type of settings
