Literally not even that far in yet and it's already wildly different from the Netflix movie, in a good way, obviously. Like maybe it's just me, but the character Sophia Carson was playing in that movie is way boring compared to what I've seen of her in the book so far. (I just checked and maybe the reason why they're so different is because they are ACTUALLY different characters ENTIRELY!!!)
