All very fair and it explains the book.

I quite like the worlds created by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger for A Matter of Life and Death (akaStairway to Heaven).

The worlds aren't so different from many in the book but the way they were filmed was. Like The Wizard of Oz they took advantage of Technicolor as it contrasts to black and white.

I'm pleased that Ken Jennings decided to include all three of Dante Alighieri's afterlife worlds from Paradise Lost.
I di appreciate the xhoice to include two from C.S. Lewis. They are different as is only befitting their different intended audiences.

The ultimate goal of Buddhism is nirvana, release from the cycle of rebirth. Nirvana is liberation, but what the world literally means is "extinction.".

Okay now I get it this is from a follow up entry on The Western Paradise.

The religion entries are well written and more humours than expected. He kinda treats all religions the same way showing no biases or slight disrespect. It just works.

Okay Mr Jennings, care to explain to the class why ॐ (Om) Nirvana, Buddhism's contribution has well no contribution? It's just two and a bit pages of nothing.

Mythology was an interesting place to start. But it was a good one. I am surprised it didn't start with Religion.
