Maybe it's because I've been away from Bittner's writing for a few months so that the initial intense, love I felt has had time to cool.

But I grew bored with this one after awhile. Historical details and uniqueness definitely present, but even Black Hawk and Evy themselves weren't enough for me to finish the book.

Got bored with the shallow characters and same plots. Dropped @ 66%...
