Finished Book. It tells a summary-type version of the story of his life, explaining what he did over the years in 2 pages.

Malcom's house was nearly burnt down due to an attack, and because of all the threats he would keep a loaded machine gun ready in his hotel room. Then as he was giving a speech there was an attack, leading to him being assassinated.

Malcolm fully left the Nation of Islam, and put together his own group called the Afro-Americans. He got many death threats for this, as many thought it went against what he was originally fighting for.

Today I read about how Malcolm pilgrimaged to Cairo to join the Islamic religion fully.

I read about how Malcolm disagreed with the march on Washington, by MLK Jr., as he thought the whole non-violent protest wasn't gonna change anything. Especially since some of the leaders in it were white.

The book compared the works of Martin Luther King Jr. and those of Malcom X. Explaining how even though they were working towards the same goal, they had very different ideals on how it should be accomplished.

I read about how at some points, Malcom's rapid growth of the Nation of Islam was a bad thing. Also, how they appeared on TV and caught backlash as the show made them seem evil and more racist than whites.

I read about how Malcom got his last name to be X, and how he helped grow the Nation of Islam.

I read how he studied the Nation of Islam religion and left prison to work with his brother in a furniture store.

I read about Malcolm's first arrest, because of how he went to get a stolen watch repaired and got caught, he was treated unfairly, and was sentenced to 8-10 years in prison.
