Hey Kim. What do u think so far? While I like the few pages I've read it isn't ( yet?) the page turner like pillars of the earth was for me. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen in their lives but hoping as I read more of cutting I will get that feeling. You?

I agree! I read a review of cutting that described the rioting as "luscious." I can see why. But though I appreciate the effort he puts into describing things (surgery, Ethiopia, etc.) I find myself often skimming those sections to get back to the central plot line. I definitely found Pillars more engaging.
