so far this feels like Shawshank from a different perspective. like literally basically the same as Shawshank.
also what state does this happen in?? they talk about Louisiana and Mississippi and everyone in this book is Southern but the “Trapingus County” comes up as Middlesex in Virginia when you Google it… and Cold Mountain is in North Carolina.
