This book is not doing me any favours. I'm only on page 149 and already added 40+ old detective books to my TBR ...

Anna Reads Mysteries It's very crammed with information. Mainly, it covers the life / interesting facts about the Detection Club Memebers. Martin Edwards, however, in some cases, goes into such minuscule details that you will find out what these authors had for breakfast 😋 (I exaggerate - all in all I think he tries to prove a point about why some authors wrote the way they did etc)
Meanwhile mentioning a bunch of their works, never giving spoilers, but teasing books enough so that you will end up adding and adding to the never ending tbr 😃

Emily Hmm, sounds like a specific mood kind of book. I do like that it doesn't give spoilers! I'm always a little bummed when I get spoiled for a mystery's ending that I haven't read yet- one of the downsides of the Agatha Christie mysteries being almost 100 years old and such classics is that I've had more than a few spoiled by reading other mysteries that reference them.
