This is my first Brandon Sanderson book. Are all of his books this charming? Is the author’s “voice” this likable across all of his works? Because if so, he may have just gained a lifelong fan.
I love “Tress of the Emerald” sea. I love Tress and everyone she comes across. I haven’t been this…enchanted by a book in a long time.

I still can’t get over how good of a job Brandon Sanderson has done here. I’m definitely a fan-girl. The entire cast of characters is incredible, the plot and character developments, the prose. My goodness, Sanderson can do no wrong.

Incredible. The love between Tress and Charlie can be felt so deeply, yet neither has done or said anything overt. Brandon Sanderson has done a great job at a romance without resorting to romance writing conventions.

16 pages in, and I think I’m in love. The writing is so effortlessly charming, my goodness.

Not really, I mean all of his Cosmere books (an EU that he has worked on since the early 2000s, have their own uniqueness to them, one way or another. Tress of The Emerald Sea. This is why I like this book, it is very different from his other book, but it can still be read as a standalone. And Wit/ Hoid is everyone's favorite worldhopper. I think Yumi and The Painter is similar but it's been a while since I read it.

Thanks! I’ll check out his other books in the series. This one just feels so special to me.
