I don't think I'm going to continue reading this. The beginning is more like the middle with the main character thinking back to what should have actually been the beginning.

I don't have patience with unnecessary lack of info that keeps you guessing. There is no deep dark secret here, so why not just inform your audience of what is going on. May-be this is from the middle of series and I'm just not aware of it?
