Then, on page 101, he ties the socially awkward and introverted Lovecraft to the needy, narcissistic hedonism of the late 60s and one of its minor architects, Stuart Gordon.

Author W. Scott Poole takes some manly thwacks on his dead subject for naming his childhood pet after a racial slur. How proper is his disdain and revulsion. How could one feel any different?
It reads as fairly contrived, and it makes me care even less.
