So do I *shame* I can't help it, though, pretty covers are pretty covers. I mean, worst case scenario, you end up with a book like Firstlife. Gorgeous cover, shitty book.

Hahaha that cover is stunning ! I usually avoid books like that I always no I'll hate it. Your review on it is hilarious, I love it ! But yes I'm a book cover judge and I like it ;)

So am I *high fives* I've read a fair amount of good books with bad covers, and bad books with beautiful covers, though. But I agree, cover designers are supposed to do their jobs.

I already hate romance novels in the first place. Their covers just make it worse for me, ahahaha.

I always judge those books that have weird half-naked men on covers with their abs exposed and all over the damn thing, idk i just can't help myself, it looks so weird and gross sometimes

Also, yes, lots of M/M romance tend to have horrible covers, I can't look at them without giggling

*raises both hands*. But, covers always inspire/discourage me to buy. I can't help it. A book cover is a crucial element and should not be taken lightly. :-)

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

If I've done that, I would have never started one of my favorite series (Kate Daniels) :-P

But definitely, if I were to go to a bookstore and choose a book, I'm ashamed to say that I would definitely take the cover into consideration ! :-P

Yep! I read only to me recommended books or the ones with nice cover.. shame shame

*slowly raises hand* sometimes if ive heard amazing things about the book, but it has a terrible cover, i straight out ditch the book all together. its terrible but i have so much respect for the covers.

Absolutely... I've been tricked by many of bad books because their covers were too beautiful. I will never learn!

Yep! I'm ashamed about the cover-judger. Like I hear good and bad things about the book, but like if it has a good cover and its has a good story, I would love it but if it has a good cover and the story is shitty, I would not like it and find another book that's better.

I've done that, there was a book I had to read called BZRK for an English assignment and I didn't think it seemed interesting until I read the story and I became a super big fan of the story

After reading the quotes from the book in your review, I don't think I am going to be able to read this book...it sounds like torture.

Exactly! I do it all the time I always look at the cover that's interesting but I always look for books that fits into my category
