This book has such ups and downs. Sometimes I’m fully invested and understand what’s going on, and other times I’m a bit confused about the story. Beatrice is growing on me more, since before I found her a bit of a naggy old lady.

Omg I am finally connecting all the dots. I was confused for a whole lot of pages about the story, also because I was disinterested in Sir Gawain and Edwin and Wistan. But now after reading more from sir Gawains pov I understand. Gawain wants to protect the dragon because she supresses the saxons memories ofthe scandalous things the britons did to them, but Wistan wants them to remember for justice. I love this!

I couldn’t really get into the sor Gawain pages if I’m honest. I like Edwin, but I’m starting to get confused about what his purpose is. He reavealed to Wistan that he was misleading him, but will he actually find his mother? I yearn for the Axl and Beatrice storyline everytime I read. They have grown on me, and I prefer to read their journey.

I forgot to update, however I read 20 pages on friday and 20 on monday.
The switch to Edwins narrative again was again a bit confusing. The girl being tied and edwin moving quickly to want to help her shows that he’s truly developing as a warrior like Wistan said. The sudden switch from axl and beatrice to Edwin to suddenly sir Gawain confuses me a tad bit. However, the different povs are interesting as well.

The story still confuses me especially with the briton and saxon soldier. I keep mixing up their names right now. I do feel like the story is getting more interesting to read.

I’ve just finished part 1 of this book, and now I’m 3 pages into the second part. So far I like the story, but at times it confuses me. The old English sentence structure sometimes throws me off, but I do enjoy how detailed the writer is with his scenes.

Chapter five has been the most interesting one eith chapter four so far, the pacing is becoming a bit faster. I also like how the author describes a lot of the details in new characters and new surroundings.

So far I’m incredibly intrigued by this story. I like how the author writes and writes the dialogue between Axl and Beatrice. In a few weeks time I’ve already read a lot.

I also found out that the dragon is the cause of the fog, which confused me a bit. Why does a dragons fog make you forget thingsv
