Im utterly melting. I am Leth like my god, truly one and the same brain. Evain is so fucking sweet and tender with him even through the taunts and teasing. Ugh, Evain straddled behind him in the ruins and he intertwined their FINGERS 😭 The sweet whisperings and “Come here” and the kisses and trailing down each others bodies - Im GIDDY! Comforting him and listening to him too, UGGGHH

One room at the hotel, waking up with him pressed against his back? Waking up laying on his chest in the tent? Clinging together falling through the rift? The cheesey head tilt and KISS? Hands around his LITTLE WAIST on the horse? Oh, its gettin’ me. I love them.

Ive been searching for a worth while MM romantasy since Ive started reading again and this is everything Im looking for and more. MM tends to be either too cheesy, too spicy, or just generally corny/trope-y but you can tell Lark intentionally crafted an entire world with intrigue, magic, and politics. This didn’t feel like a gimmick or fan fiction, but an actual serious intentional fantasy thats just about two men.

Definitely should’ve started from the first book in this series, I thought they were stand alones in the same world but apparently there’s a sold timeline and characters through the three buuut anyway just gonna double back cause Im p far in
