I am genuinely disturbed by the fact that Edward is allowed to kiss Bella but heaven forbid if she tries to kiss him back it’s like “too overwhelming” and she needs to “behave herself”???!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

First of all the “as if you could outrun me” chapter is just as incredible and absurd as the scene in the movie, second of all despite all their flaws I think Edward and Bella are actually doing a decent job of communicating often and honestly with each other. At least they have that

“I tried to keep my eyes away from his perfection as much as possible, but I slipped often. Each time, his beauty pierced me through with sadness.”

So true girl

Edward is wearing a WHITE, SLEEVELESS shirt that is ALSO a BUTTON-DOWN… on a HIKE… and to make things WORSE, it’s totally unbuttoned so this man’s chest is OUT, and instead of being horrified by how weird that is, Bella is like “this person is too hot and godlike to ever be with a weird awkward piece of trash like me” and honestly that’s comedy writing at its finest

These people are so unserious and this book would be so much better if Bella and Edward brought that unseriousness to their relationship as well instead of being intense to a deranged level

Why does she preface the book with a GENESIS QUOTE lolllll
