Zhu Li's speech was idealistic in some ways, but it was still nice to read. I like how one of the antagonistic characters had some character development. My biggest critique is that I wish this volume had been longer because I enjoyed it and the other volumes so much. 😊

A kiss between Korra and Asami at the end would've been nice, but the tender look that they shared was sweet.

I appreciate the way that peaceful protests were handled in this volume. Gotta love Zhu Li for supporting the protest, but her support didn't surprise me. It's wonderful to read about strong female characters. 💜

I was touched by Mako's support for Korra. He showed empathy wrt her worry about Asami's well-being. I love that he's written as a good friend in this volume. 😁

Props to Asami for calling out the enemy. Then she had compassion for him when Tokuga started to torture him. Asami is written as a mensch. 🥰 She was always my favorite character in the LoK animated series.
