I can’t believe I’m 45% in, and have been paying attention for at least 90% of the time. The trick seems to be headphones. Ahhh. I so badly want to be someone who can read audiobooks!

I wasn’t until I was. Some books do not work for me. They usually need to be a first person narrator and plot driven.
