That is a very loaded statement, and I'm hesitant as to how to react.
First let me assume you mean Era 1, E2 isn't remotely YA at all.
Short answer is not really.
Stephen King had a young cast in "The Stand", and that wasn't YA at all. Many libraries have "The Old Man and the Sea" as YA. Again, very mature book.
If you compare it to classical YA like "Hunger Games", "Harry Potter", or "Maze Runner", I am going to Say a solid NO. It is not more YA than Era1 Mistborn.

If you're looking for an excuse to skip an awesome book, yes it does have a younger cast.
