So many of his classmates (not all, of course) are experiencing doubt about all of this and the treatment of the tributes and districts. And then there’s friggin snow. I do like Tigris even more, and Lysistrata and Seymour and Lucy Gray (still wondering if it’s some sort of Stockholm syndrome or if she’s playing him.)

He’s considering if he can call her his girlfriend?!?! Dude! You’re sending her to her death. You only know her in that context. Half the time you still think of how you can use her to up your position. Anything she may POSSIBLY feel is either faked (hopefully for her sake to try to get him as sympathetic as possible to help her survive) or some sort of Stockholm syndrome. Please stop.

Is this whole thing from Snow’s POV? One second I feel bad about him being hungry, then in the same sentence he’s thinking of the glory days of slaves with their tongues cut out collecting their garbage and saying the tributes are animals with that lovely side serving of: “Oh, Lucy Gray’s different than other girls [district citizens]…” ? Very hard to sympathize or want to spend any more time in his brain
