Mmm, I want to like this, but so far the characters are annoying to me. Phillip, who pretends that he is a dandy so no one thinks he is a spy, is upset that people actually believe his lie. I wish the book would just say he is tired of being a spy and pretending to be something he is not, rather than vilify people for believing his persona. I think the whole feud is a bit dramatic.
