The gang goes off the path and into the woods trying get food from some vibing wood elf’s. The elf’s keep turning the lights out and everyone gets lost. The dwarves get hung up by spiders and bilbo has the biggest character development of the book so far (unironically my favorite chapter at this point). Bilbo fights off the spiders and frees the dwarves. Oh, and Thorin was captured by elves.

Hung out with the funky bear dude and his animal polycule. They had a bunch of warm food and good sleep. Bear dude lent them some horses and they continued their journey. The send they ponies back when they made it to Mirkwood and Gandalf said, “smell ya later, losers!” Now they are pissed, scared, and going on their way sans wizard.

Bilbo found a ring, did some rides with a funky dude, put the ring on and went all invisible woman. He escaped some more goblins, got out of the cave, and ran into the dwarfobots. Gandalf said “I got no food for ya” and they went on walking. Then they got caught beneath a landslide in a champagne supernova. They got trapped by wolves and saved by eagles. Full belly.

We slept in a cave and got snatched up by goblins. Ponies and supplies got got and Gandalf came to the rescue. The gang ran away after Gandalf skewered the goblin king, they got ambushed twice more in the dark and now it seems Bilbo is separated from the dwarf brigade.

So far it’s going well. We’ve left the shire with the dwarves, fought a band of trolls, and made it to Rivendell to vibe with Elrond for a bit. Elven homie read some runes and now the journey continues.
