This is phrased so well to specifically mention it being crackers doing it, so the author doesn’t have to mention “Israel”’s frequent cutting off access to the power grid for Palestine. 😑 I would have loved to read this book written by someone not deeply entrenched in the Empire/imperial thought.

It’s so frustrating reading this, esp. following right after Chomsky and Prishad’s The Withdrawal. Greenberg uncritically repeats so much US propaganda (e.g., in his description of Iran et al) and definitely has an extremely pro-Empire bias/blind spot in his writing.
