This book grrr. It triggers me. It's either slow on the verge of boring. Has the cringest sex scenes I have read and it generally keeps you reading because of the constant anger you feel towards the multiple villains. From monks to kings and queens. Pirates and soldiers. The majority of the characters are so hateable you want Auren to end them. You want revenge. But she doesn't so you keep on reading. 😠

Struggling. The pace is so slow now. The spicy scenes are so cringe and endless, in a really unexpected way it feels ridiculous and it is taking me out of the plot and killing my interest in the characters. Slade, who pushed Auren to free herself is such a domineering cliche. So boring and distasteful. And making me realise how little we understood the character before. It's clear to say I am disappointed.

Losing interest a bit… I think it’s because of the way too long and spicy scene, too explicit and not romantic enough… it lacks magic and emotion, it’s all about the mechanics, and there is nothing I find more boring…. Let’s hope I can get back into the story… and that it remains enjoyable.
