Okay, the second story interested me a bit more. But the plot was a bit thin overall, which may just be due to the nature of shirt story telling. But what ruined this one for me was the gore at the end. I'm usually fine with most gore, but I have found a formula I am not into. 2/5 stars.

Story #8 I enjoyed this one and it's surprising ending. I love a good magical library, and despite being a bit heavy on the set up and low on action/dialogue, it still kept me reading. 4/5

Story #7- Another that just didn't do it for me. A lot of set up and background but seeming little action or movement. 2/5

Short story #5 was good! A rather short one compared to the others, and it felt very flushed out and well put together. Especially for that authors first published work! 5/5

Short story #4 was great! Best one so far - Plot was well paced, the lore was interesting and different enough from normal vampire lore to keep it unique. I wanted to keep coming back to this one. 5/5 for this chapter!

Story #3 - I barely understood half of what was going on most of the time. It moved a little too quickly for my preference. I would have preferred a bit more set up and explanation. I understand the main character has some deep trauma caused by these girls she is trapped with right now, but paint the picture a bit more. Make me as the reader feel a little emotion behind that too before jumping in to the riddle stuff.

The first short story was okay. Not very scary, but had some spooky elements. Creepy old manor, some demon type stuff. But nothing over the top. 2/5 spook level. Overall enjoyment rating of the first short story would be a 2/5..
