There are numerous times when our community and school have come together. For example, when my best friend, a member of our community, passed away, everyone came together and supported each other in such a tragedy. A prayer circle was held on the football field and many people had get-togethers so people would not be alone. The baseball team also put LLH on their helmets, meaning Long Live Hanna, playing for her.

I think that the song and the lyrics "whatever will be, will be" apply to the book because people are struggling and trying to control the future because of their strings. But when people have done irrational things because of their strings, it has only ended badly, and they should put their strings aside and let whatever is supposed to happen, happen.

If I were in the book, I wouldd try to keep my priorities the same. My family is my number one priority always. Because at the end of the day, my family are people that will always be there for me through thick and thin. My friends are also a big art of my life, and some of my friends I would even consider family. My last priority would be myself and my own wellbeing.

I do believe that the short stringers are facing similar struggles that a minority group would face. They are being discriminated against for something they cannot control. They should continue to fight for their rights because it is affecting not only individuals' lives, but how society functions as a whole, and the short string population could be more than half of the population.

I don't know if I would do what Hank did. I think he did it solely because he is a doctor and saving lives was his job. Also, when the shooting at the hospital happened, he felt guilty for it. So stepping in front of the gun was his way of making up for the hospital incident.

I wouldn't open my child's box without their permission, but I know that not knowing would drive me crazy, and I would constantly be worrying about things. I feel like I would be cautious about letting them do things like going out because I would be so worried about what-ifs. I know from my personal life that my own parents have a very protective instinct, and they wouldn't forgive themselves if something happened.

Hank handles his string length by himself, not wanting to put the burden or sadness on anyone, much like Ben does with his. However, Hank does not really have anyone that he needs to share it with. He seems like a workaholic and a very driven person. The only person he lets his guard down for is Anika, whom he mentions he is still somewhat in love with. I think this shows that Hank is a very guarded and quiet person.

I do believe in miracles. I think there are many remarkable examples in the world of certain instances that seem almost too good to be true. I don't have any personal examples of a miracle, but I think that overcoming terminal illnesses, such as beating cancer, could be an example.

If I had a long string, I would not test it because I am a person who doesn't take risks already. I wouldn't want the power of knowing I can survive anything, while I watch others around me die because I would feel guilty in some way. I would want to live my life normally, not doing things just because I can. Then, I would feel like I am living unauthentically.
