Apparently, Jason Blum showed up on set with a pepperoni pizza for Mike Flanagan to thank him for assisting with reshoots on the original Ouija.

In today’s edition of Blumhouse Book Blunders, we have the basement in The Black Phone being described as “windowless” despite there being an entire scene of Finney trying to escape through a window.

This book devotes more pages to Truth or Dare than almost all the other movies discussed here (including Get Out). When I heard there was a book about Blumhouse, I secretly hoped that we’d get to read about some forgotten Blumhouse slop, like The Gallows or the Firestarter remake. Reading about Truth or Dare (a movie I enjoy) scratches that itch, and it’s nice that Lucy Hale still seems so fond of it.

If I spend $40 on the definitive book about Blumhouse, is it too much to ask that they get all the details right in their plot summaries? Maybe I’m being too picky…

Pretty sure this book just claimed that Cloverfield (released in January of ‘08) was only successful thanks to the success of Paranormal Activity (premiered at a festival n October of ‘07, not released wide until October of ‘09). I knew this book would go to great lengths to prop up the genius of Blumhouse, but this is just ridiculous.
