This desperately needs a previous book recap and/or a dramatis personae. I read The Faithless a couple of years ago and only remember it in broad stokes. On the very first page, we're mourning someone named Gil, and I go... shit, who's Gil? Later, Touraine mentions a Ghadin, and I don't remember her either. I remember the leads, and I recall Sabine and Pruett once they're mentioned, but I may struggle a bit here.
