I could not get past the first 30 pages, I thought it as boring. Let me know what you think!

It was a struggle to get through 100 pages. I keep thinking the story is going to start. Im still waiting. And I need to finish it; I hate that about myself sometimes.
I liked Eat Pray Love, and I also like Committed...but this was nothing like those. I also rarely quit a book, but this one was so boring in the beginning, I feel like I never even started.
OK so the story started after 100 pages for me. And once it started, I actually enjoyed it and couldn't wait to pick up the book. I just finished it and if you have time, you'd enjoy the ending. I think she needed to expand on the islands because she wanted to make them characters in the book, which she did but in too much detail. It all gets tied in at the end.
