It seems very odd that they are completely convinced Charlie did it and yet shadow magic is so embedded into this world that they have in-universe soap operas with plot points about people not having shadows. And yet they refuse to believe that evil shadows exist and one might have killed the person who they’re accusing Charlie of killing.
