This book is healing and heartbreaking all in one.
And can I just say the fact that The Conclave (the film)’s sole Black Cardinal seeking the papacy had a fatal flaw of having a child is actually infuriating after reading what I just read. Unacceptable given this history.

Yeah the whole Cardinal Lawrence bit in Conclave was eee-ur eee-ur. I need to read this book
