i LOVE a woman having a mid life crisis, waking up to the patriarchy and capitalism and even a tiny glimpse of waking up to heteronormativity. so well written, spacious, blunt, matter of fact, saddening but honest. as a review on the back cover said, “a hugely important novel”.
