I am so sick and tired of urdu novels being misogynistic. Maybe I am being ‘too political’ or maybe i am too ‘woke’ to enjoy these novels like i used to. There was a time I liked reading novels written by ‘Ahmed’ sisters but now I don’t. The plot is interesting, the lessons are touching but the misogyny is real too. Not just misogyny but discrimination against certain sects and religious groups.
