“If it does, I’ll be the luckiest man ever." Jim said "I mean, lots of men have been president, but only one will ever get to marry Katherine.”
Katherine’s cheeks heated. “That’s sweet.”
“Not sweet,” He said “True.”

“No. I’m simply not interested,” Jim said. “And I’m taken.”
Sandy straightened “I understand. “Just so you know, I do love a challenge.”

“Have I told you how much I appreciate you driving me to and from work?”
“Only about a dozen times.” Jim grinned over at her. “I figure I’m getting the best of this arrangement.”
“How’s that?”
“I get to see you two or three times a day, and I have easy access to baked goods.” Jim let out a satisfied sigh. “This is the life.”

“You’re going to help her bake?”

“If it means I get to sample the end product, I’ll help her as much as she’ll let me."
