Bruce is quite tied to bats. He made a bat contraption when he was a kid, went into a bat enclosure when his father died, but his mom is still alive here. He works as a construction worker who is in the lower class, we don't see any of his struggles yet . These types of stories of Batman's younger years always start with a gang war of sorts. I feel like it could be derivative of those, but we have to wait and see.
