getting to the energy part - I fucking hate silicon valley

I can't believe that one dude made a chat bot to trick people into thinking it was intelligent and it worked so well he couldn't convince people it was a trick and then he had to spend the rest of his career screaming about how chat bots cant replace human conversation
why have we always been like this?
