liking this book so far – it's somewhat similar in male yearning to sabahattin ali's madonna in a fur coat
caleb's prose is real good but dense, the kind of writing you have to take in short and appreciative doses like honey syrup. took me a while to catch onto it at first but if you compare it to the 'agape' scene in if beale street could talk (2018) it's a good way of seeing it come to life
