Why can’t horror authors write what they promise? I thought this was horror? A third of the way in and I am not scared even a little bit. I mean there is some scary imagery but nothing concrete or real. I mean it’s not clear if this is something supernatural or if the protagonist is mentally ill. It’s kind of annoying and I am taking forever to read it.

Wow - this book is getting good. The main event with the forest happens around 50% of the way thru the book so it’s all action from there. Most books wait until your 80% of the way thru. I wasn’t sure at first but I like this. It’s not ghosts strictly speaking - it’s more demonic and some folklore.
