This book has too much filler. The various storylines are interesting but each one dragged out too long with tons of periods of just nothing happening.

I'm struggling at time with this one. By the 25% mark I suddenly noticed that the story was just fucking dragging. That 1908 section had sooo much filler. And every time the other sections just started to get interesting, the book jumped to a different era. It's gotten better in parts, and I've finally made some progress, but it's been up and down a lot.
