I have been reading some of the reviews and jeez they are harsh. There is so much world building here and getting to really know the characters which is a follow on theme from the first book. A lot of people slamming Auren for not being a heroine just yet but, if you pay attention to the world building, you understand why. Auren is not mentally, physically or emotionally in a place to see herself as anything more yet

It was very hard to get back into this series. I have read a lot between Gild and Glint and have a few other series that I am reading alongside this, (Zodiac Academy first 3 books done and starting the Dark Boys series, as well as the Throne Of Glass series).
I have decided to listen to Gild on Audio just to see if it can ignite that invested feeling again 🤞
