i am trying so hard not to be a brandon sanderson hater. i really am. but i am finding this kingdom frustrating — like someone at the assembly meeting was just like “hey, did you know that people can’t afford bread anymore” and nepo was like “but the enemy army is closing in!!” Like dude, get the people bread if you want to be their king or we about to have another revolution
