Ok, I'm trying to finish ...but here are my problems:
1.the repeated "you're a thorn in my side" line is a juvenile + grating pun, and a girl named Scar with a scar is feeling very Disney.
2. Setting is the temu version of the Empyrean war college layered in with anachronistic things like lattes+karaoke I'm struggling to place in fantasy world, and the MMC just basically said he reads ACOTAR. Is this fan fic?!?!
