Beautifully written partial autobiography. Thor recounts what led up to his decision to explore the cultural and anthropological ties between Polynesia and South America. He recounts his youth and his awareness that he did not share a Euro-centric view of life on the planet with his fellow Norwegians. He desired to live as completely with Nature as possible. This book covers his trip with his wife, Liv to Polynesia.
