A tiny bit conflicted on both the star rating and its place on my top 10 list rn... like I adore the whole concept but some elements haven't aged well, both in general and for me as a reader. Will have to think more when I work on my review.

Things I forgot I could do while reading House of Leaves: chant Torah
One of the chapter headers includes a passage from Exodus and I literally can't read Torah without having the urge to read it traditionally (chant it). Can confirm - my chanting is much better than my ACTUAL ability to read Hebrew lmao.
