It's always the same: good book, good writing, good message, until suddenly the author feels the need to insert weird sexual content that no one asked for and that is written to be disgusting (+ your typical dash of misogyny. Don't tell me it was a different time. Other male authors were capable of being normal in that era)

Just finished chapter one and I'm floored. I love Vonnegut's prose and the trauma fucking seeps through the pages. "(...) - here's the book. It is so short and jumbled and jangled, (...), because there is nothing intelligent to say about a massacre. Everybody is supposed to be dead, to never say anything or want anything ever again. Everything is supposed to be very quiet after a massacre (...)"
