My biggest pet peeve of mariana’s earlier books are that she over explains basic shit like in the first five pages she translated “abuela” twice like girl you dont need to translate at all the general population knows what abuela means or they can gather from context clues. And tell me why she just defined the word sponsor as if im 5 years old reading the book the fuck
