A friend lent me this book. I didn't think I would like it, but I decided to give it a try. I didn't think I'd make it through the book due to the language of that time. The author did a great job with it just enough to make it authentic and not boring. a good book, easy read. I liked the characters, especially Meddybemps. I'll be looking into her other books as this is the 1st book in a series.
