Natasha hypothesizes that the director got locked up because he was ensnared/blackmailed by a woman. This makes sense since he traveled a lot, and consistently reported on Russian happenings. However, Sofia acknowledges that such nonsense couldnt possibly be true given his character; although she didnt know the director personally, she knows that he couldve done ANYTHING in his free time.
