OKAY other than my problem with the magic system, plot and constant info dumping and attempt at world building (will explain in full review), I totally get Arin and Essiya & love their interactions. I’m not a romantasy girl or a romance girl in general but I GET IT I see the appeal.

back to this book that brings my blood to a boil bec I hate ‘deadly trials’ as the moving point of the book to begin with and you’re telling me the trials just started at 68%, with the first one lasting for less than a chapter’s length. just great & this bores me sm i am so done but so close to finishing UGH

Okay here’s the fourth attempt in picking this up. I think I didn’t like how the supposed magic have no limits except for the well like come on this is baby fantasy compared to what I’ve read recently

i’m already sensing the similarities with every other book in a bad way. i picked this up more so bc i’m curious than actually interested but the glaze is honestly scaring me.
